Laura Bulmer established EARTHLING ARCHITECTURE on the beautiful Bunurong / Bass Coast in 2020 to create sustainable architecture with a local, regional focus.

Laura believes in valuing our natural environments and existing buildings, learning from them, and working with them to create contemporary, sustainable places for people and nature to thrive in.

Laura has practiced as an architect in Victoria for 15 years and has worked for leading sustainable architecture practices in Melbourne delivering residential, community and commercial projects in urban and regional areas, including a number of award-winning projects.

Laura has worked with many environmentally conscious clients around Westernport, on the Mornington Peninsula, on Millowl / Phillip Island, and down at Cape Paterson and Inverloch.

Laura is highly skilled in designing with natural, renewable, and recyclable materials and technologies to create high-performance, sustainable buildings connected to their environment.

Laura has also designed and built bush landscapes focussed on local climates, ecologies, indigenous plants and habitat creation.

Laura is registered with the Architects Registration Board of Victora, and is a member of ArchiTeam, Parlour Collective, Bass Coast Landcare Network, Land for Wildlife, and is a founding member of Totally Renewable Tenby.

Laura has been involved in many environmentally focussed community projects in the Waterline area of the Bass Coast, collaborating with local organisations and Bass Coast Shire Council.
